Morio Shinoda

 

Born in 1931, in Tokyo prefecture.  One of the representative sculptors in Japan is known for the iron sculpture series called TC (Tension and Compression) which fixes the iron objects by tension and compression of steel wire.  He was chosen for the 33rd Venice Biennale in 1966 as a delegate of the Japan Pavilion and actively worked all over the world in his 90s.
