TEZUKAYAMA GALLERY will participate in the group exhibition “TOPOLOGY 02”, held at WHAT CAFE in Tokyo.
This exhibition brings together young to mid-career directors active in both the Kansai and Kanto regions. Five pairs of directors—each comprising one from each region—will jointly curate the exhibition through collaborative direction.
For this edition, TEZUKAYAMA GALLERY will co-curate with Kentaro Totsuka, director of Otherwise Gallery in Tokyo, under the theme “Form and Design.” Together, they will present two duo exhibitions: Takuro Sugiyama × Hiromasa Fukaji and Mamie Yamamoto × Yoshiro Takeuchi.

[About the Exhibition]

The exhibition “TOPOLOGY 02” is organized by DELTA, an art project introducing galleries, directors, and artists based in Tokyo, Osaka, and Kyoto.

A total of ten directors from the Kanto and Kansai regions—ranging from emerging to mid-career professionals—will participate. Working in five pairs, they will collaboratively curate and construct the exhibition.

The title “TOPOLOGY” refers to a system of thought that focuses on the “invariant properties” that remain even through continuous transformation.
The collaborations between directors and artists from diverse backgrounds embody this concept, reflecting DELTA’s core idea: connections that persist through change.

Through multidimensional perspectives on contemporary art and the intersection of diverse values and ideas, the exhibition aims to create a space that fosters organic communication across boundaries.
