住吉明子| Akiko Sumiyoshi
1981年、千葉県生まれ、在住。文星芸術大学美術学部ビジュアルデザイン科卒業。
大学卒業後と同時に作家として活動を始めた住吉は、愛らしい顔の動物たちが暮らす森の情景を、メディウムや表現方法は変われども一貫した世界観で、絵画から立体、インスタレーション等多岐に渡り発表してきた。柔らかで可愛らしい表情の動物を制作する裏では、多くの資料や図鑑をリサーチしながら制作する作家のストイックな面が見られる。
